Kanye West To Drop New Solo Album After ‘Cruel Summer’

Rapper/producer Kanye West seems to be in his creative zone as MTV reports that he is working on a new solo album. This was revealed at the ASCAP Rhythm and Soul Awards in Los Angeles by acclaimed producer No I.D, West’s mentor and vice president of Def Jam Records, who is working on the album with him.

As for details on the album No I.D states:

This is Kanye. You know what to expect from the family. He hasn’t missed yet, so don’t expect him to miss. It’s what you expect and everything you don’t expect.

The momentum for Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label and the upcoming G.O.O.D. Music compilation album Cruel Summer is currently on a steady incline due to the recent success of the single “Mercy”, which has sold over 1 million on iTunes. Cruel Summer is set to release on August 7th.
