Watch: New ‘Django Unchained’ Sneak-Peak

A new trailer has been released for Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained, and while it doesn’t show much in terms of new footage, Samuel L. Jackson’s ridiculously grim face is capable of making any production an instant hit, in my books.

The 60-second spot premiered this Sunday during the BET awards, which (by no coincidence, I suspect) featured Mr. Jackson as host; though sadly, he wasn’t eternally donning the the pink wig of the trailer. Aside from that, we are also treated to the incredibly fitting ”Ecstasy of Gold” by Ennio Morricone, and what else would we expect from Tarantino and the soundtrack-geek that he is.

For those that didn’t read my last article on the film (in case you can’t tell, I’m damn excited for it), Django Unchained follows the story of the titular escaped slave, as he trains under bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz) in attempt to find his stolen wife. Audiences should also be getting excited for the appearance of Leonardo DiCaprio as Calvin Candie, the actor having come a long way from his teenage heartthrob days (and likely soon to be facing a distinctly Tarantino-ish, katana-based death).

In a showing that the director may be the true saviour mankind, Django will come galloping to cinemas this Christmas.
