Up and coming Montreal dream pop duo Purity Ring today released the new video for their brilliant new single Fineshrine, which is already a contender for track of the year. You can watch the video at the bottom of the article.
The video shot in a clinical style, follows on from the stark lyrical focus of anatomy in the track, also featuring stitched up, bruised and bandaged characters. The video itself is directed by Los Angeles production company Young Replicants, of which Alex Takacs and Joe Nankin are the main directors. The duo have directed several music videos to the same high and stylized standard, including M83′s We Own The Sky and Wise Blood’s Loud Mouths.
Purity Ring’s debut release was announced for a release on July 24th, on 4AD Records. The album itself is entitled Shrines, and off the basis of the bands already released material from the album, it already seems like a strong contender to be one of the best debuts of the year.
