Watch: Hacienda Makes Network TV Debut on Letterman

Hacienda

Last night, San Antonio rock and roll band Hacienda rolled into NYC for a musical performance on The Late Show with David Letterman. Hacienda (Rene Villanueava, Abraham Villanueva, Jaime Villanueva, Dante Schwebel) have taken their tunes to television in the past for Conan and Team Coco, but Tuesday night’s performance of “Savage” marked the band’s debut appearance on network TV.

Hacienda are one of the best lesser-known rock and roll bands in America. They have a strong musical relationship with The Black Keys‘ Dan Auerbach (see my Moneyball take on the relationship in my TST review of Shakedown), and they have opened for the likes of My Morning Jacket, Dr. Dog, and Grace Potter & the Nocturnals. If you haven’t picked up Shakedown yet, the investment is certainly worthy of consideration. For now, take a few minutes to enjoy the fellas dropping “Savage” on Letterman and his nationally televised audience.
