Today Brooklyn-based digital-pop wizard St. Lucia premiered the title track off upcoming EP September (September 25th release) via Pitchfork. A long-overdue debut LP is due out in early 2013 on Columbia, a delightful bit of news for anyone who has heard the pop perfection of other tracks like “Before The Dive” and “Closer Than This,” or his remix of Passion Pit’s “Constant Conversations.” St. Lucia makes transcendental pop songs that connect us with the ebb and flow of the natural world and our bodies. “September” feels more electronic and chaotic in comparison to some of these other releases and while the ramp-up period of the song is nearly 2 minutes long, the payoff is worth it.
