Watch: Bad Books’ Forest Whitaker Video, Stream It Never Stops

Kevin Devine and Manchester Orchestra frontman Andy Hull have joined forces once again for a second Bad Books album. Fans of both Devine and Manchester Orchestra jumped aboard for the duo’s 2010 self-titled debut, which won the praises of NPR’s All Things Considered and Alternative Press. Their new album II will be released on October 9 via Triple Crown and Favorite Gentleman Records.

This time around, Bad Books are in position to earn even more acclaim. The lead single “Forest Whitaker” has already lit up Sirius’ “Alt Nation” airwaves and stormed the Commercial Specialty Radio charts all the way to #2. Now, you can watch the song’s brand new video, which, incidentally, is a collection of clips from films starring the song’s namesake (Fast Times at Ridgemont High, The Crying Game, Bird, Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai, The Last King of Scotland, and, yes, even Bloodsport). As if the soundtrack of “Forest Whitaker” wasn’t great enough in its own right, the Academy Award-winning actor’s screen presence makes the video positively mesmerizing.
