The nicest guy in rock and roll has been making waves in the film industry. In addition to directing Soundgarden’s “By Crooked Steps” music video, Grohl has most recently been noted for Sound City, his documentary about the history of Los Angeles’ infamous Sound City Studios. The film has spawned one of the greatest collaboration of musicians to date. NPR is offering free streaming of Sound City: Reel to Reel, the soundtrack from the film. Through NPR’s website, you have the option to listen to the entire fifty five minute soundtrack in its entirety uninterrupted or to listen to each individual track. The soundtrack is an awe inspiring musical feat on the part of Grohl and friends. It features the music of Trent Reznor, Chris Goss, Stevie Nicks, Rick Springfield, of course Sir Paul McCartney, and more.
