Ty Segall’s New Group to Release 7″ and Full-Length Debut

Ty Segall releases albums more often than most of his fans do a load of laundry.

After releasing three stellar albums last year — one solo, one with his touring band, and one with Tim Presley AKA White Fence –Segall shows no signs of slowing down. He formed a new group called Fuzz with guitarist Charles Mootheart of his touring band and bassist Roland Cosio, and dropped a 7″ in January.

The debut 7″ sold out in days and featured two tracks oozing with ’70s Sabbath worship. Now the group has announced two more releases: a 7″ single called “Sleigh Ride” on April 16th via In the Red Records and a debut full-length set for later in 2013.

Segall and co. have tackled garage rock, folk rock, grungy pop, and surf rock freak-outs. Now it’s time for them to test their mettle on some metal. The chips are stacked in their favor.
