Coming mid-April is The Witchwood, which will add a total of 135 spooky new cards to Hearthstone's ever-increasing collection. For Echo, players will be able to play multiple of the same card if they have the Echo keyword, and the mana too.

Echo, which makes it so that the card will cast itself over and over again until you run out of mana.

Deceptively simple in design but epically engaging, Hearthstone will be instantly accessible to players regardless of their familiarity with Warcraft or collectible card games. And there will be four new heroes to lead the fight, each with their own hero power and "cards that create completely new playstyles and strategies".

Based on Blizzard's release schedule, we know that a new Hearthstone expansion was in the works, and the good news for Hearthstone players is that it looks like the new expansion has since been officially announced.

An announcement video, which features a musical number and a preview of Witchwood cards from the development team, can be viewed below. And best of all, Monster Hunt will be free for all players come The Witchwood's launch.

Inspired by the worgen citizens of Gilneas, some new cards will be able to swap their attack and health values depending on when they are played, and the expansion will also include some legendary cards which reward players for using decks with only odd, or even, cost cards. The Hero Power upgrade from Baku the Mooneater is the same as the one from Justicar Trueheart, as a post on Reddit reveals. To follow this theme, at least one of the new cards will change in your hand every turn.

Looks like the Rogue Death Knight, Valeera the Hollow's Hero Power, only for a single card. This is more of a definition for types of cards that already exist, which can attack other minions on the turn you play them but not enemy Heroes.

The Witchwood is now available for pre-purchase on Blizzard's store for $49.99 and comes with 70 decks filled with new cards.

Also introduced in The Witchwood expansion is a single-player Monster Hunt mode, which is very similar to the Dungeon Run mode found in Kobolds and Catacombs. This one-time-only bundle is available on any platform for $49.99 (one purchase per account).
