Sir Ken Dodd: Portsmouth tributes paid to 'really lovely' late comedian

Dodd, from Liverpool in northwest England, won millions of fans with his epic stand-up shows filled with non-stop jokes, in which he brandished his trademark colourful "tickling sticks".

Speaking to the Daily Echo, his agent, Robert Holmes said of the star who recieved his knighthood and celebrated his 90th birthday in 2017 "greatly appreciates all the support he has been given and continues to receive during his spell of ill-health". There is no one else that comes close.
