Aaron Rodgers: One Day At A Time

The Green Bay Packers' star quarterback wants to play, but the All-Pro has yet to be fully cleared by his team.

If the soreness keeps Rodgers out of practice for the rest of the week, that doesn't necessarily mean he won't play against the Vikings.

Head Coach Mike McCarthy indicated during a media availability on Thursday, Sept. 13 that Rodgers will work in the rehab group for another day.

"Haven't even thought about that", Rodgers said when asked if he had confidence in Kizer if the backup needed to start. "We'll see what tomorrow brings", McCarthy said during his Wednesday news conference.

"We're taking things day by day".

We'd be real surprised if Aaron Rodgers isn't on the field when the Green Bay Packers face the Minnesota Vikings.

"I'm feeling better, a little better, every day - Monday, Tuesday and now today", Rodgers said.

"There was a lot of adrenaline and (it's) pretty sore the last three days", Rodgers said.

"It was going to have to take something really catastrophic injury-wise to keep me off the field in the second half (against the Bears)". The 14-year veteran said he does not need to practice to play.

Rodgers will receive nearly $80m in guaranteed money by March 2019.
