Airport sources said the incident could be a result of the crew's alleged failure to activate what is called a "bleed switch" before the take-off, leading to disturbance in the cabin pressure and forcing use of oxygen masks.
An AAIB official said the incident could be a case of negligence on the part of the pilots since controlling cabin pressure is part of mandatory checks before operating a flight. In another shocking incident, the loss of cabin pressure caused a scare on board Jet Airways flight 9W 697 earlier on Thursday.

All patients have since been released from the hospital.
In a statement to Business Insider, Jet Airways said that "144 of the 166 guests of the original flight traveled to Jaipur via an alternative flight of the airline, while 17 of them wished to travel at another point in time".

"The company is fully cooperating with the authorities and is responding to the queries raised by income tax authorities", the airline said in a notice to the exchanges.
Alongside, Indian Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu ordered an investigation of the entire incident and has demanded a report about the same in a month's time.
