At the Theatre, Mrs Trump shall be joined by Kenya's First Lady Margaret Kenyatta and US Ambassador to Kenya Robert Godec.

She will also visit Malawi, Kenya and Egypt to complete her week-long visit to Africa.

She took to twitter to say "Thank you #Ghana!"

During Trump's tour, she is focusing on child welfare.

At the primary school, the first lady watched dozens of pupils sitting on the ground in the sun as a teacher taught on a blackboard on the side of a building.

Trump is advocating for children's welfare as part of her "Be Best" campaign during her first worldwide solo tour as first lady. "We are happy today, we are happy today to see you". More girls than boys were in the first outside lesson, which totaled 275 students.

"I am very proud to see the first lady", high school student Sharon Sibo told AFP after being among a group of welcoming pupils at the airport.
