Ruby Rose swings into action as Batwoman in the first photo of the actress in costume for CW's upcoming DC-TV crossover (via Deadline). Her black and red suit, designed by four-time Academy Award victor Colleen Atwood, also nods to the character's previous iterations with a classically cut cape with ruby red shading.

The crossover, titled "Elseworlds," is scheduled to begin December 9 with The Flash, followed by Arrow on December 10, then Supergirl on December 11.

What do you make of this first look at Ruby Rose's Batwoman?

Earlier this year, The CW announced a crossover in its DC shows featuring Batwoman, as well as an entirely new series for the character. Fans of Batwoman will be happy to see her vibrant red wig and lipstick, too.

Senate near Kavanaugh approval after epic struggle
Murkowski said she'd use an obscure procedure that lets one senator offset the absence of another without affecting the outcome. Vice President Mike Pence planned to be available Saturday in case his tie-breaking vote was needed, which now seems unlikely.

Pep Guardiola confirms shock team news ahead of Liverpool clash

Pompeo to visit China Monday
The PRC destroyer conducted a series of increasingly aggressive maneuvers accompanied by warnings for DECATUR to depart the area. The islands are mostly uninhabited but are close to busy shipping lanes - lanes which the US has an interest in protecting.

Unlike Black Lightning, which has so far largely stood on its own in the CW's superhero slate, Batwoman will associate itself with the other heroes of the Arrowverse right from the jump.

We know from Arrow and Supergirl that a Gotham City exists on those two characters' Earths, so will this be the Gotham of Earth-One, Earth-Thirty-Eight, or another Earth we haven't visited before? Superman will also appear in the crossover, with Tyler Hoechlin reprising the role from Supergirl, and Grimm star Elizabeth Tulloch will portray Lois Lane in the character's Arrowverse debut. It will also be nice to spread the heroes out more evenly across the multiverse.

"Arrowverse chief Greg Berlanti defended Rose's casting stating, "[Ruby] is terrific in the role, and we're excited for people to see the story".

Spoiler alert, it's not almost as exciting as you'd think. Tell us what you're thinking in the comments.
