From hardware upgrades to (more) innovative software functions, the new Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL have it all. That's more accessible than the $149 / £139 Google is charging for the Home Hub, assuming you buy a Pixel 3 first.
The Pixels have barely made a dent in the market since their debut two years ago, but Google is hoping to change that with the latest models unveiled Tuesday at an event in NY. However, it was unable to engineer a notch into the design because of constraints caused by the narrower hardware which didn't simultaneously allow for a notched display as well as a speaker and cameras. The new Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL comes powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC and sports 4GB of RAM. The phone is made of glass, which means that Pixel 3 phones will be the first Google Pixel phones to support wireless charging.

Toyota recalls 2.4 million Prius, Auris hybrids for software-related stalling

A pull-down "dashboard" acts as the smart home center for the Home Hub, so you can manage the various devices in each room independently. It also comes with Google Assistant integration. However, it's not clear if it'll be limited to Pixel 3 or pushed to all Pixel phones. They also include an "accessory connector for Pixel Slate Keyboard". Lots of devices that've abandoned the headphone jack were released over the past couple of years with no reasonable wired alternative. As far as the camera goes, both devices have a 12.2MP single-lens rear camera with a f/1.8 aperture and 1.4μm. You can wirelessly connect the Pixel Slate to a Pixel Slate keyboard and use a Pixelbook Pen which has to be purchased separately.
Furthermore, Google has included the Google Camera app on the Pixel Slate, so the product can be used for photography too.
Rather than setting your phone to do not disturb mode, you can flip your phone upside down so that the screen is facing down instead, muting everything instantly and re-enabling your phone again when you pick it up.
