If all those "seconds" aren't good enough for you, the new Halloween had the biggest opening for any "slasher" movie, according to figures from Forbes.

Universal's reboot of the venerable horror franchise is on track to sell an estimated $77.5 million in tickets at 3,928 theaters in the US and Canada from Friday through Sunday, winning the weekend and scoring the second-highest October opening ever, behind Venom's $80.3 million earlier this month.

While the last few iterations have been panned, "Halloween" holds a 80 percent average on Rotten Tomatoes and a B+ CinemaScore.
