Wednesday's winning Powerball numbers were 2, 21, 45, 53 and 56 with a Powerball of 22.

New Jersey man Earl Livingston, 87, was walking to buy a ticket for this week's Mega Millions jackpot when he fell and broke his hip. The next drawing will be held on Saturday at 11 p.m. EST.

The lucky victor or winners hit a jackpot worth $1.54 billion in estimated annuity value (or $878 million in cash).
