The 49-year-old victim was reportedly taken to the hospital after being punched in the jaw. The actor is now in custody at the 6th Precinct in Manhattan.

Alec Baldwin is in custody after getting arrested for assault, according to police.

Representatives for Baldwin did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

TMZ reported that witnesses saw him get "into an argument with another man over a parking spot near 10th Street and 5th Avenue".

Baldwin, 60, has had problems with the law in the past.

Baldwin now resides in NY, and according to reports, an unidentified third party was holding a spot for the actor when another driver swooped in and stole it, that was when he attacked them.
