Community hero steps in for Kid Rock to lead holiday parade

The interview was on live TV, so "Fox & Friends" co-host Steve Doocy quickly apologized for the language and Rock himself jumped in and tried backpedaling.

While discussing politics on Fox and Friends on Friday morning, Kid Rock said that we're all Americans, "except I'd say, 'Screw that Joy Behar b*tch'".

Behar offered her response on The View with her co-hosts backing her up. On Friday night, Rock took to Facebook and said that he wasn't sorry at all for what he said.

He added: "Mess with the bull, you get the horns".

Kid Rock has spoken out after the Nashville Christmas Parade continued on without him as grand marshal.

Although Kid Rock's business partner Steve Smith, who also runs the nearby Tootsie's Orchid Lounge and co-sponsored the parade, wasn't a fan of the decision, threatening the city to "refund me my quarter of a million", there was no Kid Rock to be seen on Saturday morning.

Behar went on to refer to all of the Republicans as "sore-winners", and said that it was time for them to "shut up now".

Kid Rock posted on Instagram that his parade "had been rained on" and he would instead spend the day with his family. "But, aside from joking, which I was, is just go out and hash it out with people and have your thoughts and ideas but, be able to still go have a beer with somebody and just say, you know, hey, we all love this country".

Parade organizers later issued a statement, saying, "Parade organizers feel that the grand marshal should personify the spirit of the Nashville community and have invited James Shaw, Jr. We do not excuse that language". On Saturday, he retweeted a news article about him being in the parade. "I wish he would practice what he preaches", she said. "All I can say is this bitch and these bitches would be happy to have you on the show and have a beer", Behar shot back, while her cohorts also had their say. "Listen, she's just got a different point of view than you do".

During a Friday appearance on "Fox & Friends", the 47-year-old singer courted controversy when he appeared to bemoan respect for others as political correctness run amok.
