WASHINGTON-Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is resting in a NY hospital following surgery to remove two malignant growths in her left lung, the third time the Supreme Court's oldest justice has been treated for cancer and her second stay in a hospital in two months.
She "was discharged from the hospital yesterday and is recuperating at home", court spokeswoman Kathy Arberg confirmed to PEOPLE in a statement on Wednesday. No additional treatment is now planned, it said. The nodules were found after Ginsburg fractured three ribs in November.
Since taking office, President Donald Trump has had the opportunity to replace two retiring justices, tipping the balance in favor of conservatives.

As of last Friday, no further treatment for the justice was planned. Ginsburg has said she'll serve on the Supreme Court until she can no longer do her job but has suggested she'll stay at least five more years. The nodules were found as part of the tests the justice underwent after the fall, Arberg said.

Despite the heath concerns, Ginsburg, sometimes referred to as "the Notorious RBG", has not missed any arguments at the court. She was hospitalized after a bad reaction to medicine in 2009.
