Kawhi Leonard wishes for different end to Spurs tenure

Leonard spent seven seasons with the Spurs and won Finals MVP in 2014 when he helped guide the team to its fifth championship. No, not at all.

The win moved the Spurs to 22-17 this season while the Raptors fell to 28-12. "Doesn't matter what we say, you're going to say whatever you want, so that's a waste of our time". With one older Spurs fan yelling at her son, Leonard's mom stood up and yelled across the aisle to confront the man.

"You're always concerned", Nurse said Sunday, via ESPN.

"I'm waiting to see", Green said. "So I already knew that's how it was going to be".

And that's a 21-7 Spurs team on a two-game winning streak looking to rise in the Western Conference standings, Leonard will be competing in what's sure to be a hostile environment at the AT&T Center.

DeRozan was cheered on by the Spurs crowd while Raptors superstar Leonard was met with boos and "traitor" chants throughout the game.

"At times, yeah", Leonard said. What was interestingly noticeable about the video was how the Spurs broke up highlight clips of Leonard and Green, so that the fans couldn't boo throughout the entire segment.

Fans react to Floyd Mayweather's first-round demolition of Tenshin Nasukawa
The fight was the conclusion of a freaky buildup that featured Mayweather repeatedly claiming it was off and then back on again. They wanted this to happen over here in Japan , so I said why not. "He's a great champion".

Less than halfway through the opening quarter, DeRozan threw down some absolute fury at the rim to give the Spurs a 10-point cushion - one that would turn out to be one of the slimmest San Antonio leads of the night.

"I guess just as much anticipation as you guys have had the first three, four months of the season or so", Green said.

Veteran guard Patty Mills is hoping his former teammate is greeted back with cheers.

"It really wasn't [anything]", he said.

"I wanted to break every single record that was there, and be the first to do every single thing".

The next confusing, strange, inspiring yet nearly heartbreaking chapter of this saga will be written on February 22nd, when DeRozan returns to Toronto for the first time in a non-Raptors uniform. "I put a lot of blood, sweat and tears wearing that jersey, believing in something". At 27 and just entering his prime, it's reasonable to think his ceiling is even higher than what we've seen.
