Okay, I have to vent about a band that has tortured my tympanic membrane since childhood. And it never fails; they cause my tympanic to panic still every time I find myself in a bar & grill and the tone deaf version of the wicked witch of the west shuffles his way onto a poor innocent playlist. For those who are fans or haters of the overcooked Canadian fried bacon of a band called RUSH, you probably know I’m talking about Geddy Lee. Don’t get me wrong, he is a talented musician and the music created is fantastic but it is so very difficult for me to enjoy a cake when the icing onthat cake is made of pure terd instead of yummy chocolate! And that’s what the vocals are when it comes to making a great band and a great musician. The vocals are the “icing on the cake”. If the singer sucks worst than a Kirby then the entire band pretty much is vacuumed into the same suckage.
The point of my tirade I suppose is that since December of 2009 I’ve been hearing, reading, and psychically absorbing rumors and hearsay that they will begin touring spring of this year.
Hey RUSH! Haven’t you done enough damage to our poor souls and the terd monglers that listen to you with songs like “Tom Sawyer”, “Limelight” and “Fly by Night”? I THOUGHT I could tolerate a song like “Closer to the Heart” as it ushered in its finely polished guitar melody but then the Geddy Witch of the West sprays his pee pee all over the one composition by RUSH that almost won me over.
Well, they’ve been around since 1968 so really it’s too late to do anything about it except to stock up on cotton balls and perhaps suggest to the radio stations that held their contests for fans to win tickets for this upcoming tour to give away earplugs and butt wipes along with those tickets!

Hmmm… Interesting. Was there even a point to writing such an ill-informed article? Some people, (well, millions of people), actually enjoy Geddy’s vocals. Including myself.
if you don’t like it, don’t buy the albums. Me and all the millions of Rush fans worldwide really don’t give a shit what you think. In fact, it really disappointments me that TST would run such a childish piece of hateful drivel. Rush is and always has been an easy target for people who need to throw rocks. Geddy Lee’s voice is no worse that someone like Tom Waits, it has character and it has never bothered me.

RUSH IS ONE OF THE IF NOT THE GREATEST BANDS AROUND THERE MUSIC HAS HELPED ME GET PASSED SOME HARD TIMES IN MY LIFE. AND I ENJOY THE FACT THAT RUSH IS NOT A MAINSTREAM BAND OR HAIRBAND THAT DOES NOT DO LOVE SONGS OR PLAY TO POP CULTURE. WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THEY HAVE BEEN AROUND SO LONG AND KEEP COMING UP WITH NEW GOOD MUSIC. BOTTOMLINE THEY ARE GREAT PLAYERS THAT STAND THE TEST OF TIME BOB
