Jay-Z,Coldplay to Create Water Tower Murals in NYC

In and effort to raise awareness of water conservation, the water towers of New York City will be covered in murals by notable artists. Led by the non-profit group Word Above the Street, in Spring 2013 selected rooftop tanks across the five buroughs of NYC will be turned into works of art by noted musicians like Jay-Z, Coldpay and Dave Matthews. LGBTQ Self Evident Project Heads South


A friend turned me on to an artistic/political photographic endeavor called Self Evident Truths last week. Though it is not musical in nature, it is supported by many musicians (and artists, et al.) in the independent realm, deeming it worthy of mention. New Banksy In London?


A new offering, possibly from Banksy has surfaced in London. The painting, which shows a toddler with a lollypop pulling a missle in a child's wagon, was spotted on the corner of an office building on Oval Street  in Kentish Town. At some point the artist usually authenticates his own work, posting pictures on his official website. If this piece truly turns out be a Bansky original it will be his first offering of 2012. Photo: New Artwork From Banksy Surfaces in Liverpool


A new work of art, thought to be courtesy of Banksy, has surfaced in Liverpool . The art, which shows a plane leaving a heart shaped trail of smoke, is on the wall of a car park in Rumford Street. A photo of the street art, which has been dubbed 'Love Plane' has also been posted on Banksy's website, further fueling the belief that this is indeed the work of one of the world's most famous modern artist. … [Read more...]
