After a three-year hiatus, Blur entertained fans at the 2012 Brit Awards earlier this evening with an unheard of 11-minute set. The set included favorites such as “Girls & Boys”, “Song 2″, “Parklife”, “Tender”, and “This Is A Low”. The band also received an award for Outstanding Contribution to Music. They might not be dating but the duo is clearly working together. Rihanna and her ex-boyfriend (maybe current boyfriend) are collaborating on two new tracks together. Monday they dropped the remix to Rihanna's song, "Birthday Cake," from her Talk That Talk album, and the other is a remix of Chris Brown's, "Turn Up the Music." Both songs hit the internet this week. Bon Iver's session has today been released on youtube by 4AD and Jagjaguwar. Recorded at London's AIR Studios in October 2011, the session features only Justin Vernon and Drew Carey, and perhaps more interestingly two grand pianos, in a stripped back and minimal performance. The session is featured at the bottom of the page. After a massive twenty year gap, post-punkers Public Image Limited have unveiled a new song - entitled 'One Drop'. Recorded in 2011, the song will form part of new vinyl EP to be released in time for Record Store Day on April 21. This will then be followed by an LP in June - the group's first since 1992's That What Is Not. The Angelo-American duo have announced that the band's cover of the seminal Velvet Underground song, 'Pale Blue Eyes' as a B-side for new single, 'The Last Goodbye'. The single is from 2011's 'Blood Pressures', the band's fourth album; the single itself released on the 12th February this year. 'The Last Goodbye' is the fifth single to be released from the album. The Mars Volta have debuted "The Malkin Jewel," the first single from its forthcoming sixth album Noctourniquet. The track is also premiering today in the UK on Radio 1's Zane Lowe show.
