The Big Chill Festival Cancelled Due to the London Olympics

The 2012 Big Chill Festival has been cancelled. Since 1994, The Big Chill has been taking place on the grounds of Eastnor Castle, Herefordshire.  Last year the festival was headlined by The Chemical Brothers, Kanye West, and Rodrigo y Gabriela. The London Olympics have hindered some artists 'availability' to attend this special event causing the Herefordshire weekender to be postponed this year. The latest offering from Rodrigo y Gabriela, Area 52, sees the duo collaborating with Cuban orchestral outfit C.U.B.A. Together, they rework a fair number of tracks from their eponymous 2006 album and indulge their audience with a couple of newbies, and the duo say that they "felt like Mulder and Scully" when it came to the record. Rodrigo y Gabriela Announce 2012 Spring Tour Dates

Rodrigo y Gabriela have announced their spring 2012 tour dates in support of their forthcoming released album Area 52. The band C.U.B.A will be joining Rodrigo y Gabriela tour, marking the first time ever the duo has toured with a backing band. Rodrigo y Gabriela will release their new album, Area 52, on January 24, 2012 via ATO Records. The album will contain nine of the duo's hits, re-arranged, re-configured and accompanied by a 13-piece Cuban orchestra. San Francisco Bay Area thrash legends, Death Angel, have unveiled the track listing and contributing guest musicians for their new album Relentless Retribution. “Claws In So Deep” features performances by the popular acoustic guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela.
