Brother and sister act, The White Stripes, have reacted angrily to a TV advertisement for the US Air Force, which they say rips off their song, “Fell In Love With A Girl“.
The ad was screened during the US Superbowl. In a statement, the White Stripes claimed their song was re-recorded and used without permission, and said they took “strong insult and objection” to the ad. They also said they planned to take action to stop the ad containing the music.
Head to The White Stripes’ label website for a side by side comparison of the ad and the song.
