On the success of her first single from her upcoming album “Born This Way,” GaGa announced that she will be co-directing the second single and video from the album, “Judas.”
The singer will direct alongside Laurieann Gibson who choreographed many of Lady GaGa’s other videos including “Poker Face,” “Paparazzi,” “Alejandro” and “Born This Way.”
Speaking to Google in an hour long interview session titled “Google Goes GaGa” on March 24, she said “Actually, I can exclusively reveal here at Google that I will be making my directorial debut with Laurieann Gibson, and directing this video with her ourselves.”
She then expounded upon the song’s meaning saying that there would be some “biblical symbolism.”
GaGa previewed some of the song’s lyrics during her interview: “When he comes to me I am ready, I’ll wash his feet with my hair if he needs / Forgive him when his tongue lies through his brain, even after three times he betrays me / I’ll bring him down, a king with no crown.”
Full versions of the song’s lyrics were leaked earlier today, but could not be verified.
She announced part of the lyrics earlier this year on her Twitter: “I’m just a Holy Fool, oh baby he’s so cruel, but I’m still in love with Judas, Baby.”
On the subject of her upcoming album, due out May 23, she said that it would have rock influence and combine several genres including dance, pop and metal. She said in addition to rock it will explore electronic music and “techno-sonics.”
