Following the wave of recent critical acclaim for their third album, ‘Skying’, the Horrors release their new video for their second single ‘I Can See Through You’. The quintet have been described as one of the most interesting and influential bands of late, their second album ‘Primary Colours’ having been nominated for the Mercury Music prize, as well as being voted the best album of 2009 by the NME. ‘Skying’ has already garnered them many new fans, with the emphatic first single from the album ‘Still Life’ receiving radio time on more mainstream radio stations.
The video itself delves further into the band’s obsession with the psychedelic; synths cut through an array of nebula-like projections, on a twisted neon backdrop, with mirrored images of the band cutting in and out. The quintet are currently at the start of their European tour supporting the release of ‘Skying’, starting in London and climaxing in Nijmegen, and are also set to perform on BBC 2′s ‘Later With Jools Holland’ tonight.
