Jimmy Fallon has apologized to Michele Bachmann for the
hilarious intro she was given by his house band, The Roots Monday night.
Bachmann was a guest on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. And as she made her way on to the stage The Roots played the intro to Fishbone’s 1985 classic song “Lyin’ Ass B—-.”
While you only heard the beginning of the song which goes, “la la la la la la la la la”, Fallon still felt the need to apologize, tweeting to Bachmann that he was honored that she came onto his show and that “I’m so sorry about the intro mess.” He said he hopes she will come back to his show.
The Roots band leader questove also apologized, saying Tuesday that the song was a “tongue-in-cheek and spur of the moment decision.” “The show was not aware of it and I feel bad if her feelings were hurt,” Thompson said. “That was not my intention.”
