Biker Build Off: The Results are In

The American Chopper Biker Build Off culminated tonight at the Hard Rock in Vegas and Paul Jr. Design takes home the win. His Mustang fighter plane inspired bike had everyone aside from his competitors in awe. Jesse James stuck to his wannabe bad-boy attitude and his claim of being the best. OCC and Paul Senior’s machine received a steady roar of hisses and boos from an extremely disappointed crowd and with good reason; the OCC crew didn’t even build a motorcycle.

Senior stood by his claim that Jesse James, a complete stranger to him, would build a better bike than his own talented son. The father and son took the stage together and ended up in an awkward hug. No one knows what will happen with Senior after he was embarrassed on-stage in front of hundreds of people booing his company’s design. I have a prediction that he will shrug the competition off as a popularity contest and will die before he gives his son any credit.

Even with heavy coaxing and face to face trash talking from Jesse James, Junior kept his calm exterior and let his bike prove that he is better than either of the two cavemen. And after an extremely disappointing live performance from Bush it was proved.

        I agree with you.It looks like something Peewee Herman would ride. If you cant get from point A to B without refueling every 15 miles or dying from exhaust fumes all you have is a lawn ornament.They should have had them ride the bikes to the destination like they used to on the build off shows.If you cant ride it there its not a bike.I want something i can ride and not leave me stuck on the side of the road.

          Your both tool bags!! JJs didn’t any ridability that was much better than Jr’s. You argument is weak.. Not only that but JJ was a huge fan of riveted parts now there not cause someone else did a rivited tank. Jrs bike for this comp was better, styling, innovation, ridability (fuel stops for both JJ and JR would suck, I bet JJ dosen’t get 40 miles from his tank), use of materials, and overall appearance. I like JJ, just looks like he’s stuck in the 90′s..

        Anyone couldve built JJ’s bike…… Like Vinnie said – dont show me something I can find at any bike show or bike week, point is the creativity…. and the range of the cranky ape bike is something like 500 miles with a 7 gallon tank, does that work for you? JJ claims PJD is a cake decorator well then JJ is a cookie cutter with that typical “frisco” style chopper

      Hey Dgmob181…it’s called (as the announcer actullay picked up on, Oh and by the way did you notice that the announcer and JJ as you so aply call him were actually wearing thesame flannel shirt and black leather? I think not!) art, design, imagination! It’s called vision, excitement, rsik-taking and even myself not convinced it is the best piece this talented young man has built (PS: His Cadillac bike would have blown both the other bikes away) was also acknowledged for being done by a team…his team, his new family, those who share his passion and follow a simple dream…there isjoy in creating what has never existed before.

      Ahh, the History of Art…being recognized for creating something that never existed before…people like DiVinci, Monet, VanGogh, Picasso, Pollock, and even Warhol…Paul Jr. has created a sculpture reminisent of ‘Bird in Space’ which was though to be a machine part when first brought to this country to be seen. Ahh, live in the past that seems to fit what JJ does. Not saying there is no talent and there is no skill…no I am not saying that. What I am saying is there is no INNOVATION! Hell, Billy lane would have at least taken a risk and gone crazy with something and less we forget…Indian Larry would have given all three a run for there money!

      I only wish I could spend some time with Jr’s team. I so appreciate their dedication and willingness to just DREAM!

      I could have seen Jesse James motorcyle at ANY bike rally. While nice, it was not what he should have brought to a major competition, he has done far better in the past. With the exception of the bike only having a range of 20 miles, Jr.’s was in every other way superior. Seniors creation, while cool, was not a motorcyle and had no place in the competition…. he should have taken things more seriously.

      Richard J Bay, No sorry I did not take notice to what everyone was wearing lol. although I did pick up on the announcer being an instigator and trying to cause trouble between everyone.I guess the Discovery channel is trying to go the Jerry Springer or “jersey Shore” route…..And I agree with you 100% about art,design,and imagination. While I believe Jr is amazingly talented as most of the stuff he builds is beautiful,creative,and fully functional that I would love to ride to work on a daily basis especially the Cadillac bike.,This was nothing more than a piece of art that belongs in Jay Leno’s garage and not out on the road where a motorcycle belongs. My point is in the previous Biker Build-offs the builders ride to the destination, and although Jesse James would have had to ride looking between his arm and the gas tank he would have been the only to get there without a fuel truck following him to gas up every 14 minutes. But I guess when you are sitting on a piece of steel while breathing in all that carbon monoxide, The stops are probably not only welcome but a necessity… I don’t even know what to say about Sr’s thing, except that while it looks fun to ride off road, I think he knew he would lose so he just built something that could not actually be judged,taking all the pressure off him. It is a disgrace the way he emotionally abuses his children!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Ridability argument.. Jr’s – swingarm with suspension, JJ – Rigid (sucks to ride a rigid). Jr’s Fuel range 10 – 20 miles, JJ fuel range 50 – 60 miles (both would piss you off to ride any distance). Innovation, Jr – Moving Sculpture, JJ – Hmm looks like his Diablo and CFL set up (but he did blacksmith the foot pegs!!!). Ridability, Jr’s – Natural sitting position, good bar height, good foot position, JJ – Stretched and raked way to high, no visibility. I wish JJ brought more to the table than a remake of his old stuff and a piss poor attitude. Jr’s bike head to head on this day was better.

      Paul Jr. is what you call a “Copy Cat”. Without something in the shop to copy, he couldnt build a damn thing. Paul Jr. has not had an original thought in his life. Put Paul jr. in a shop by himself with nothing but the tools and materials to build a bike, you will get a dildo with two wheels if you are lucky. Anyone who actually RIDES motorcycles knows who builds the best.

        Bobber247, if you think what Jr built makes him a copy cat, then your a dumb ass. One is a bike and one is a functional chopper. He spent a lot of money in order to develop the same creative juices for everyone on his team so that they would be on the same sheet of music. Since he doesn’t use drawings like Sr’s team, he bought a plane. At least he was involved in the project as opposed to Sr would had no involvement at any stage.

      I thought biker build meant build them, ride them, and finally judge them. A vital part of the competion was left, and for good reason. Two of the bikes(one bike, one machine) would have never shown up in Vegas. We all know who they were.
