Hey everybody! What’s that? You live in London and have the January blues because no one’s around for shows? Have no fear! Here’s a handy guide to exactly where you should be this January.

Tomorrow, the 10th and 11th of January

Ani Difranco plays the Union Chapel, Islington.

With her first release in over three years, Ani is back promoting her new album “¿Which side are you on?”. Ani is well known for writing deeply personal (and if I may say, damned good) music. Also, she’s joined by a wide range of New Orleans brass musicians, including Galactic alumni. If you’re wondering, yes, I am totally going to be there tomorrow. If you’re going, say hello, we can hang out. Get tickets here.

Friday 13th

SOCA Frenzy Glow Fete, Feat: Scrappy and his band Tropical Storm at Scala.

DJs Shaker HD, Tate, Tyrone and Ratty host the Scala event. Get tickets here.

Monday 16th

Enter Shikari play the Borderline. Get tickets here.

Friday 20th

Come to Club NME on Friday the 20th, for “very special guests” TBA. Ooooooohhhhhhh. Mystery. Students get in for £2 before 10:30, £4 before midnight. Just show up.

Saturday 21st

Asking Alexandria play the HMV Forum. Get tickets here.

Tuesday 24th

Lovable Rogues, Hype Theory, The Sharps and UP play The Garage. Get tickets here.

Wednesday 25th

New for 2012, Emeli Sande plays Club KOKO. An interesting new artist, check it out. Get tickets here.

Saturday 28th

XFM All-dayer. All right kids, this’n's an event. This All-Dayer is hosted by Pulled Apart By Horses, featuring Theme Park, Weird Dreams, Cymbals, David’s Lyre, Peace, Real Fur and Tall Ships. Get tickets here.
