‘Born This Way’ Called ‘Most Pretentious Album’ By NME

A blog post by NME has named Lady Gaga’s Born This Way as the “most pretentious album ever”, saying that “she seemed to believe her own hype…” and the singer was “convinced she had a message to share”.

In response to this, Gaga took to Twitter to say:

Oh the irony of winning “Most Pretentious Album Ever” from none other than NME. *eyeroll* I might laugh forever + then return to narcissism.

NME‘s recent post contradicts their review of the album in May 2011, in which they gave the album eight out of ten and said of Lady Gaga:

Gaga doesn’t know when to hold back – and it’s a damn good thing.
