National Enquirer Publishes a Photo of Whitney Houston in her Coffin

We don’t expect much from the National Enquirer, but the magazine (if we’re still calling it that) has sunk to an all-time low, publishing a picture of Whitney Houston in her coffin with the headline:  “WHITNEY: THE LAST PHOTO!”

The article cover shows Houston lying in a golden coffin, and wearing a purple dress.  It goes on to say that Houston was wearing jewels worth $500,000 and had gold slippers on her feet. According to The Daily Mail, the picture was taken at the Whigham Funeral Home in Newark, New Jersey where her body was being viewed. While we won’t post this picture, many sites have posted the picture online.

Carolyn Whigham, the owner of the Whigham Funeral Home, told MailOnline : ‘I have spoken with the family about this and they have asked me not to comment on the matter.’

What we want to know who is at the funeral home or among her family and friends would sink so low to take this photo and promptly sell it to a tabloid such as The Enquirer? We hope her family gets to the bottom of it.
