Song Featuring Paris Hilton Pulled From Youtube

The video for Manufactured Superstars ft. Paris Hilton song ‘Drunk Text’ has been removed from Youtube, with the only explanation given by the site being a ‘copyright claim’.

It has noted by numerous sources that the actual reason for the video’s removal, was because the song has been almost universally panned by critics and youtube users.

The Los Angeles Times noted that Paris Hilton had committed “audio treason” with the song. A number of other websites – including New York Post – simply call the song “embarrassing”. Sam Lansky of MTV is slightly more supportive, calling it “…actually the best thing I’ve ever heard.” – perhaps in a tongue-in-cheek fashion.

Hilton does not sing on the track, but speaks in monotone various random lyrics. Some such being:

“Take the word sex and mix it with texting / It’s called sexting…”

“I’m too lazy to type so I send a photo I took up a dancer’s skirt.”

“I’ll be damned if I end up in same lame diner after this with last night’s lingerie in my purse.”

Although Youtube has had the video pulled, ‘Drunk Text’ can still be viewed on Vimeo for now. Watch below:
