Is Kymie for Real? Top Five Publicity Seeking Couples

They say love is a beautiful thing, but with these couples it’s unclear if it’s love for each other or love for the spotlight.

It’s been just a couple of weeks since the world had to witness the beginning of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s relationship, and so far we’ve had “KW” earrings, wardrobe malfunctions  and many photo-ops.

Already, it’s been rumored that Kymie will be a part of the next season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, so it’s hard to not second-guess if there’s true love between those two or another union of convenience.

However, Kim and Kanye are not the first ones that make us wonder.

Who else makes the cut?

It’s too sad that their names don’t really match to make a cool nickname. It’s sadder when even their names make a better relationship that the people themselves.

The beginning of their “whirlwind romance” came out of the blue, and as if we needed some convincing (okay, we probably did) Tom Cruise wanted to let everyone know that he was so in love with Katie Holmes that he was willing to make a fool of himself in front of Oprah, and that’s exactly what he did. Tom Cruise gave new meaning to the term “couch-surfing”, and it sure was an uncomfortable/awkward one.

Now, both Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are on top of the world in Hollywood. Ben is an accomplished actor and director and landed hottie Jennifer Garner. Lopez resurfaced in a major way when she signed on to become a new judge on American Idol, plus her music career is hotter than ever.

However, they almost lost it all when they were together, even though they tried HARD to succeed.

First, Ben Affleck appeared on J. Lo’s video “Jenny from the Block”, and well, then there was Gigli, their first movie as a couple. Maybe the love really just died, but do you think it might’ve worked had the film became a runaway hit? Us too.

Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson

Whoever decides to film their relationship for the world to see is immediately a famewhore to us, especially if they are Newlyweds. Such is the case of Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson.

To be fair, Lachey seemed almost embarrassed most of the time during the show’s tenure on MTV, but it sure revived their comatose careers alive.

Thousands of appearances and endorsement deals later, the couple headed for divorce… But that wasn’t televised.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries

Kim sure likes to parade around with Kanye, but before she started dating the Grammy winning superstar she was doing the heavy lifting with Kris Humphries.

Poor little Kris, little did he know what he was getting into when she laid eyes on Kim, or did he? He popped the question in front of the cameras, agreed to a televised wedding and posed for People magazine in his wedding.

Lachey and Simpson did it before, but K&K did it way bigger, tackier and more flamboyant.

So we know they’re considered a “private” couple by many, but really, who poses for a magazine cover as a couple with a bunch of kids when they were having an affair in real life?

If that’s not publicity-seeking, then we don’t know what is.

Maybe they don’t flat-out rub their relationship in our faces, but they sure didn’t do it quietly when they started, and they seemed more than willing when the paparazzi “catches them” walking around with their 8 or 15 kids in tow.

Oh, and how did People get every detail of Angelina’s engagement ring if they hate so much?

They’re hot, talented and most certainly NOT shy .
