Today UK-band The Cribs premiered a new video for “Glitters Like Gold,” the latest single from In The Belly of the Brazen Bull. With a purposefully grainy picture and “fisheye” performance shots, the video has a very mid-late 90s feel—which is exactly what directors Andy Knowles and Stephen Agnew were going for. To further cement that aesthetic, a secondary video that includes tidbits about the band in the vein of VH1’s Pop Up Video was created. The Cribs are known for their cheeky attitude and their ability to churn out fun guitar-based pop songs and this video is perfectly representative of that.
