Avril Lavgine and Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger Engaged

He was a boy, she was a girl, can I make it anymore obvious?

Well, apparently you can. Canadian pop star Avril Lavigne, 27, flashed her 14 carat diamond engagement ring on the front cover of Hello Canada magazine with fiance’ Nickleback frontman Chad Kroeger, 37.

The two met in February of this year while collaborating on Lavigne’s upcoming fifth studio album. Lavigne was previously married to Sum 41′s Deryck Whibley from 2006-2009. The couple’s divorce was finalized in 2010. This is Kroeger’s first marriage.

Lavigne previously dated reality star Brody Jenner for two years, but that relationship fizzled out earlier this year. The pop star was also briefly linked to Marilyn Manson before she started dating Kroeger.
