Glee show runner Ryan Murphy, in what’s becoming a common practice, tweeted the first Season 4 promo for the beloved Fox dramedy. “So exciting…Season Four, here we come!”
The clip, entitled “Time,” features a first glimpse of Kate Hudson as Rachel Berry’s (Lea Michele) hard-nosed NYADA instructor Cassandra July. After some quick Season 3 shots and a particularly sad scene of the New Direction’s six remaining members (down significantly from last season’s 16) in the choir room, is a juicy scene between Hudson and Michele.
Hudson: “I bet you were a big star in Iowa.” Michele: “Actually, I’m from Ohio.” Hudson: “Ohio! Even worse”
The rest of the clip features standard slushie shots as well as Blaine Anderson (Darren Criss) singing Imagine Dragon’s “It’s Time.” Though the faces are the same, there is a sense of change coming to the show.
Glee returns for its fourth season Sept 13 at 9pm on Fox.
