Hot on the tail of the announcement that Trent Reznor has reformed Nine Inch Nails to tour in 2013, the band has announced two festival appearances coming up this summer.
The band will appear at the Rock ‘n’ Heim Festival in Hockenheim, Germany which runs from July 16 to July 18. The band will perform alongside the likes of System Of A Down, Tenacious D and Deftones.
About a week later, the band will appear at the Fuji Rock Festival in Niigata, Japan on June 26. Other confirmed headliners include Bjork and The xx, and the festival will include appearances by many hot newcomers like Death Grips, Foals and Tame Impala.
Billboard also reports that the band is strongly rumored to be appearing at this year’s Lollapalooza in Chicago, but no official confirmation has come from the festival or the band as of yet.
Reznor claims the band intends “to re-think the idea of what Nine Inch Nails could be,” and with the addition of renowned musicians such as King Crimson’s Adrian Belew, fans who catch them at these festival appearances are surely in for a treat.
