The latest offering from Rodrigo y Gabriela, Area 52, sees the duo collaborating with Cuban orchestral outfit C.U.B.A. Together, they rework a fair number of tracks from their eponymous 2006 album and indulge their audience with a couple of newbies, and the duo say that they "felt like Mulder and Scully" when it came to the record. Rodrigo y Gabriela Announce 2012 Spring Tour Dates

Rodrigo y Gabriela have announced their spring 2012 tour dates in support of their forthcoming released album Area 52. The band C.U.B.A will be joining Rodrigo y Gabriela tour, marking the first time ever the duo has toured with a backing band. Rodrigo y Gabriela to Release New Album in January

Rodrigo y Gabriela will release their new album, Area 52, on January 24, 2012 via ATO Records. The album will contain nine of the duo's hits, re-arranged, re-configured and accompanied by a 13-piece Cuban orchestra.
