My Chemical Romance Parts with Drummer

My Chemical Romance has officially parted ways with drummer, Bob Bryar. The New Jersey band’s fourth album was scheduled for a Spring release, but with the remaining members now headed back into the studio, the album will more likely come out in Fall 2010.
Guitarist Frank Iero said the split with Bryar was “a painful decision for all of us to make and was not taken lightly.” Still, he is hopeful for the new MCR material, saying, “We have been writing some very powerful new songs, so this week the four of us entered the studio once again, and what has been ending up on tape each night is some of the most exciting and honest work we have ever created.” Frontman Gerard Way went so far as to describe the new album as “My Chemical Romance being the purest, most distilled version of itself.”
In an interview with Spin.com, Way promised that this next album will not be conceptual like 2006’s The Black Parade. He said that thematically, the music was influenced by the band members’ New Jersey childhoods, the Springsteen-esque notion of “getting up and blowing out of town,” and how “a band and an audience can be immortal through rock’n'roll, even if just for one night.”
