Two Additional Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax Big Four Sonisphere Shows Announced

The Sonisphere fest has added two more dates with the big four,Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax .

The First in Sofia, Bulgaria on June 22 at Levski Stadium then Five days later it will be in Istanbul, Turkey on June 27 at Inonu Stadium. Both shows will include the “Big Four” of Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax along with very special guests Heaven & Hell.

Sonisphere added Greece and The Big four, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax, to the Festival!! Sonisphere will hit Athens, Greece on June 24, 2010 at Terra Vibe Park.
The Big Four, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax, will appear together for first time in history, and along with Stone Sour, Mastodon, and Bullet for My Valentine, will cause even the most demanding public frenzy of enthusiasm!
Lars Ulrich of Metallica comments on the historic announcement:
“Who would have thought that 25 years after its inception, the big 4 of thrash metal, not only alive, but now and will play together for the first time … What a mindfuck! Bring it on!”
“It was time to happen,” says Kerry King of Slayer. “And time for the fans to finally get what they want. This is fucking awesome.’
Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian, agrees commenting size of the communication.
“People talking in 1984 to play with these four groups, this is twenty-six years of expectation! And the point is I do not think it would only meet their expectations but we will shatter them’! No other quartet groups with such influence have not done this before, Imagine if the Beatles, the Stones, The Who and Zeppelin had appeared together; Or the Sabbath, the Priest, the Maiden and Motorhead?”
These four legendary bands emerged from the underground thrash movement to dominate the metal world in the 1980s, selling millions of albums and filling stages around the world. The giants of the metal have never shared the stage despite the public demand. But on 24 June 2010, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax will climb to the stage at Terra Vibe Park, to make reality the dreams of headbangers in Greece.
“Life is an opportunity for fans of Heavy Metal to see the four largest groups of its kind in American history, together, in a scene” lead the leader of Megadeth, Dave Mustaine. “If heads are left at the end of the festival not kopanithei not belong here.”
