Montreal's Leif Vollebekk on Canadian Tour

Leif Vollebekk’s music is an exquisite work of art, highlighting the Montreal based musician’s talent for constructing songs that are perfectly balanced by his soothing voice and wide range of instruments, sometimes en masse, sometimes stripped down to a whisper. Vollebekk knows when a song needs less to convey its emotion and isn’t afraid to rest the most moving moments of his songs on nothing more than an acoustic guitar and his voice. He doesn’t fall into the industry’s habit of over producing his songs. His lyrics paint vivid images and pull you right in to his stories.

His new album “Inland” is a warm and beautiful collection of songs, each featuring Vollebekk’s multi-instrumental talent; Vollebekk plays guitar, harmonica, piano and violin on the album. “Inland” will be re-released by Nevado Records across Canada on January 19th, 2010 on CD and 12 inch vinyl.

He is currently on tour in Canada and will be adding more dates to his calendar soon, so don’t miss him while you can still see him in an intimate venue.
