Scarab will play for the first time with their new drummer Wednesday night, January 6 at The Drunken Unicorn with Peaches, Zebras, & Gold Standard also on the bill.
Doors open at 9pm, tickets are $5 and the show is +21.
Scarab formed in late 2007 in Atlanta, GA. After working together in the studio, Raheem Amlani & Mike Barnes (Brass Knuckle Surfer, Noble Rust, and Novocaine) began jamming.Soon afterwards, Josh Coleman (Noble Rust) joined the duo on bass. While continuing to play in other projects, the three spent the next year writing, during which time they adopted the name Scarab.
After performing at various local venues & honing their sound, the group invited Cory Sauvageau, multi-instrumentalist & long time friend, to join Scarab. The quartet has infested the Atlanta scene with their own brand of uncompromising rhythmic chaos. They are currently working on recording materials for an upcoming independent release. “Hail Eris!”
