Zoroaster Added to 2010 Action! SXSW Showcase with High On Fire

Atlanta’s Zoroaster has been added to the ACTION! Public Relations 2010 South by Southwest (SXSW) showcase.
The showcase will be held on Wednesday, March 17th at Mohawk (912 Red River St., Austin, TX) and will feature world-renowned power trio High On Fire in its only SXSW appearance of 2010. This all ages event will be open to the public as well as SXSW badge and wristband holders.
In addition to High On Fire and Zoroaster, the Action! SXSW Showcase will feature live sets from critically acclaimed bands Priestess (Montréal, QB), Bison B.C. (Vancouver), The Gates Of Slumber (Indianapolis, IN) and Naam (Brooklyn, NY). Additional details, including set times, will be announced s
hortly.
Zoroaster is currently working on new material for their debut release on E1 Music.
The Atlanta-based group has been called “one of the U.S.’s most promising metal bands” while drawing stark comparisons to Godflesh, Sleep and the Melvins. Zoroaster is known for its deafening power, intriguing mysticism and unique take on heavy music. The band’s live show has been described as “an obliteration of the senses”.
Zoroaster will also be playing the Chronicyouth.com free SXSW Day Party on 3/18/2010 4:00 PM at East End Tattoo ,also appearing will be Dark Castle, Atlas Moth, Hull, Barn Burner, Snake Sustaine.
