Band to Watch 2010: Seven Story Fall
December 23, 2009
Seven Story Fall, who are arguably the future favorite sons of the Atlanta music scene, are known for their energetic stage presence, powerful melodies, and super fast riffs. The boys from metro Atlanta once again brought down the house at the Masquerade in front of 500 plus people for their final homecoming show of 2009. After the show, I sat down with Ryan McManus, Mike Hart, Justin Calalay, and TJ Routon for a one-of-a-kind interview. I say this because Mike started off the interview in a most unusual way…by interviewing me!
MH: This is Seven Story Fall interviewing Austin King…What is your favorite color?
TST: Red…no doubt in my mind.
MH: Well, I already like where this is going!
TST: So you guys have an acoustic EP coming out two days before Christmas to round out 2009, but what’s in store for 2010?
MH: Man, 2009 was a great year for us. It was nothing but growth for the band. We can’t wait to see how 2010 works out. We’re going to be putting out a bunch of new music.
RM: Yeah, we’re releasing some new music in early 2010. It’s going to be sick!

UnderOATH
November 23, 2009
When I caught news that I would be getting a one-on-one interview with Chris Dudley, the keyboardist of Christian Metalcore band UnderOATH, it was difficult holding back the excitement. UnderOATH, hailing from Tampa, Florida, is considered on the forefront of not only the hardcore genre but in all of Christian music. I had to force my way around a line that stretched all the way around the Masquerade to be welcomed onto the tour bus by Chris himself. We made our way to the lounge room in the back that was packed to the gills with CD’s, backpacks, video games, and laptops to conduct the exclusive interview.
