Sid Vicious Experience Punk Fest Friday, Jan 15th at The Masquerade

Punkfest with The Unsatisfied, Super Hooligan, Motor 76, and the Sid Vicious Experience takes place in heaven this Friday at the Masquerade in Atlanta.

It was 32 years ago that the legendary Sex Pistols made their U.S. debut in Atlanta. In pure punk fashion, the tour was short-lived and concluded with the band breaking up in San Francisco. But Atlanta tribute act, the Sid Vicious Experience, keeps the attitude and vigor alive, headlining this event with a set of Sex Pistols classics.

Vicious’ influence is also apparent in opening bands Motor 76 and Super Hooligan, both of which play straightforward, bollocks-free rock ‘n’ roll. And Chattanooga’s the Unsatisfied play in-your-face glam punk with the theatrical flair of Vicious, Iggy and other punk pioneers.

Doors open at 8 p.m and tickets  are $8 advanced and $10 at the door.
