Jon Oliva`s Pain released their fourth studio album “Festival” on April 12 in the U.S. Release.
“Festival” has received critical acclaim all over Europe with album of the month honors in many countries and cracking into the German Media Control Charts (similar to Billboard Top 100) at #87 in just its first week of reported sales.
After the more experimental last JOP album “Global Warning” from 2008, the songs of the new album are going “back to the basics” again. Metal Mayday Featuring Cage and Halcyon Way at Masquerade May 1

Pathfinder Promotions presents Metal Mayday at Masquerade May 1 featuring Cage, Halcyon Way, Destroy Destroy Destroy, Brazen Angel, Veins Iced Over, Eclipsed by Sanity and Fall to Earth
Show starts early at 7PM – so get there early & plan to stay late to meet and party  with all the bands and their great metal fans!!!
Cage will be headlining the event.
The new album finds Cage playing faster and more aggressive songs. For the 1st time ever, vocalist Sean Peck  combine clean Power and Black Metal vocal parts on the song “White Magic”. The new album  also includes the already Wacken road-tested Classic Metal anthem “Kill the Devil” and the unbelievable 8 minute plus monster Metal track “Wings of Destruction”
In early 2010, original bassist Mike Giordano and lead guitarist Anthony Wayne McGuiniss exited the band honorably after many years of being true to their steel.

Pathfinder Metalfest at the Local

I showed up for the second day of this great Metalfest. I was unable to make day one, but I surveyed some of my friends who saw day one show  and they said Eternal Hour played a tight set and that Zephaniah played with insane energy and speed that made me regret missing day one.
